Basically all high-end wood parts require sanding as a part of their process. The most common technology is relatively manual (i.e. hand held orbital sander). Machine sanded pieces are often manually sanded for quality reasons. Sophisticated equipment allows sanding solid wood and panel parts. The surface is measured and the programmed sanding process is applied (pressure, grid etc.). |
